Salary: USD $119,800 – $234,700 per year (U.S. national range); USD $158,400 – $258,000 per year (San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area).

What you will do

• Lead infrastructure design and architecture for on-prem and Azure platforms, deeply understanding security risks.
• Guide cross-functional teams through architectural discussions for design, compliance, scaling, and cost considerations.
• Develop and present architecture and design proposals, leading testing and validation of solutions.
• Drive AKS enablement and workload onboarding, providing standardized tools, pipelines, and migration guides.
• Partner across teams to enable testing, workload certification, and migration programs at scale.
• Author well-designed, scalable, and reliable infrastructure code, including libraries and proof-of-concept code.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience designing and delivering distributed systems or platform infrastructure, including significant experience in Microsoft Azure (or AWS/GCP with solid Azure proficiency) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep).
• Experience managing systems at scale—globally distributed, highly available, real-time, 24/7 environments—with strong reliability and security requirements.
• Proficiency in modern software development practices, including CI/CD pipelines, code review, testing, and operational readiness, using languages such as Go, Python, or TypeScript.
• Demonstrated ability to drive architectural direction across multiple teams, influence technical decisions, and translate ambiguous requirements into durable designs.
• English: B2 required for effective communication and documentation.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience, OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience.
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating AKS at scale, including networking, identity/workload identity, and secure cluster patterns using Fleet Manager.
• Hands-on experience building and operating Terraform module ecosystems and platform onboarding toolchains.
