What you will do

• Operate various IT infrastructure services (web servers, Haproxy, Puppet, Grafana, Prometheus, Git, PKI/CA, HSM, Vault, virtualisation platform) on several hundred systems in multiple data centres worldwide, ensuring their high availability.
• Analyze problems, eliminate malfunctions within the framework of ITIL processes, and document them.
• Carry out performance analyses and optimisations.
• Evaluate new technologies.
• Participate in a rotating 2nd level on-call service for the team's own services.

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience and in-depth knowledge of Linux server system administration.
• Knowledge of SSH, shell, and remote server administration.
• Know-how in a programming language (such as Python, Ruby, Golang or similar).
• Experience in automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Puppet).
• Good English skills and the ability to work in a team.
• Structured and independent way of working, acquired through studies or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in the administration of large Linux environments.
• Knowledge of the challenges involved with large Linux environments.
• Experience in setting up and operating Ceph clusters.
