Design Verification Engineering Intern

TL;DR

Design Verification Engineering Intern (ASIC/SystemVerilog): Gaining knowledge and experience in integrated circuit design and test, from custom design modules to developing SoCs, working alongside experienced engineers on custom silicon solutions. Focus on simulating and comparing various verification techniques against ASICs and utilizing industry-standard EDA tools to assess design quality.

Location: Virtual Canada - must live and work from Canada.

What you will do

• Gain knowledge and experience in integrated circuit design and test, from custom modules to SoC development.
• Work alongside experienced engineers to solve complex problems in custom silicon solutions.
• Contribute to ASIC verification, ensuring high-quality and functional SoC designs.
• Utilize various verification techniques to simulate and compare against ASICs.
• Gain experience with industry-standard EDA tools to assess design quality.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with a foundation in Digital Logic Design and Verification.
• Experience with HVL Languages (Verilog/VHDL, SystemVerilog) and Programming Languages (C, C++).
• Proficiency in scripting with Perl/Python/TCL and experience with EDA Simulation Tools.
• Must live and work from Canada.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with UVM methodology.
• Knowledge of Amba-based Protocols (AXI, AHB, APB) or industry-standard Protocols (UART, I2C, SPI).
• Basic understanding of Lower Power verification and Formal Verification.
• Experience with Database Management (SQL) or Business hirify.globalligence Tools (Power BI, Copilot).
• Linux Experience (bash, tcsh).
