What you will do

• Create ultra-realistic real-time VFX (explosions, fire, smoke, debris, dust, destruction, weather, impacts).
• Develop effects that are physically believable and grounded in real-world reference.
• Implement and optimize VFX in Unreal Engine.
• Work closely with Art Direction, Environment, and Gameplay teams.
• Ensure effects meet AAA visual quality and performance standards.
• Iterate quickly based on visual and technical feedback.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a VFX Artist in games.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating hyper-realistic AAA VFX.
• Deep understanding of real-world physics, motion, scale, and timing.
• Strong experience with Unreal Engine VFX workflows (Niagara).
• Solid knowledge of performance optimization for real-time effects.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, production-driven environment.
• Portfolio must include realistic explosions, smoke, fire, destruction, or environmental VFX demonstrating real-time implementation.

Nice to have

• Experience on shipped AAA titles.
• Houdini experience for realistic simulations and texture generation.
• Experience with destruction pipelines and large-scale effects.
