🦄 Description
CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Lead Gameplay Programmer to join the team and work on Cyberpunk 2 — the follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077 and the next major video game in the Cyberpunk franchise.

In this role, you will lead the Gameplay Engineering team to create outstanding player experiences and top-quality gameplay systems in Unreal Engine 5. Team leadership and delivery success will be your primary focus, alongside hands-on coding responsibilities.

🚀 Responsibilities
• Manage and mentor programmers, supporting career growth through 1:1s, performance reviews, hiring, and promotions
• Lead the development of high-quality, performant, and scalable gameplay systems in Unreal Engine
• Foster cross-team and cross-functional collaboration to ensure efficient development
• Partner with production on roadmapping and planning
• Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other developers to align on goals and expectations
• Ensure designers have efficient workflows and tools
• Write high-quality, optimized, and maintainable C++ code aligned with project objectives

📚 Required Skills
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing a team of programmers
• 7+ years of professional programming experience in the games industry
• Excellent C++ programming skills
• Strong knowledge of 3D mathematics and linear algebra
• Ability to creatively and strategically solve complex technical challenges
• Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong understanding of gameplay feel and player experience quality

👍 Nice to Have
• Experience with Unreal Engine and at least one shipped Unreal title
• Experience with current-generation console hardware
• Experience working with multi-threaded systems
