TL;DR

Principal HR Business Partner: Partnering with COO/CTO leadership to develop people strategies, workforce planning, and talent development for global corporate and contingent workforces, with an accent on organizational design, scaling operational excellence, and optimizing performance using data and AI tools. Focus on leading complex change initiatives, providing guidance on sensitive workforce matters, and driving talent lifecycle processes.

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This role will require 3 days in office once the new office is fully operational by Q4 2026.

Salary: $179,000 - $302,000 CAD

What you will do

  • Partner with COO, CTO and their executive leadership team to develop people strategies and provide executive coaching.
  • Shape and implement workforce planning, organizational design, and talent development strategies across multiple geographies.
  • Use data and AI tools to assess organizational health, surface insights, and deliver actionable people plans.
  • Lead complex change initiatives, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance on sensitive workforce matters, including employee relations, engagement, and workplace culture.
  • Collaborate with COEs (Total Rewards, Talent Development, Legal, DEI, etc.) to design and operationalize people programs.

Requirements

  • Extensive HRBP experience partnering with diverse global client groups across corporate and contingent workforce models.
  • Extensive experience working with technical teams.
  • Strong coaching and relationship-building skills with a track record of influencing senior leaders and driving complex, cross-functional change.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect day-to-day execution to long-term business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to increase efficiency and insight in workforce planning, communication, and people analytics.
  • Commitment to building inclusive teams and scalable systems that support equitable experiences across global, distributed teams.
  • Must be based in Toronto, Canada and work 3 days in office once the hub is open (expected Q4 2026).
