What you will do

• Build and maintain performance test frameworks using tools like JMeter, Gatling, or Locust, focusing on reusability and CI-ready execution.
• Define and execute comprehensive performance strategies including load, stress, endurance, spike, scalability, and batch workload performance testing.
• Partner with Product, SRE, and Engineering teams to define and evolve NFRs, SLOs, and SLIs.
• Define performance test environments (sizing, parity, realistic data volumes) and coordinate with Platform/Infra for readiness.
• Establish CI/CD performance gates (thresholds, trend analysis) and automate execution, reporting, and integration with pipelines.
• Perform root-cause analysis of regressions and scalability failures, driving fixes and verifying improvements.
• Mentor and enable multiple agile teams to integrate performance testing into their Definition of Done.

Requirements

• 8–10 years in performance testing/engineering with strong hands-on experience using at least one tool (JMeter, Gatling, or Locust).
• Proven ability to build and maintain reusable performance test frameworks with gates, thresholds, and regression detection.
• Experience performance testing distributed systems and creating realistic workload models from production patterns.
• Hands-on experience across various performance testing strategies with clear entry/exit criteria and actionable analysis.

Nice to have

• JVM profiling and diagnostics (JProfiler, GC, heap/thread dumps).
• APM/observability expertise.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud CI/CD (e.g., AWS).
