Senior Software Engineer (Go)

Senior Software Engineer (Go): Contributing to and enhancing developer experience for hirify.global client libraries with an accent on open source collaboration and API design. Focus on adding support for new hirify.global features and acting as a technical lead for cross-language initiatives.

What you will do

• Contribute to several client library projects, including go-hirify.global, hirify.global-py, phirify.global, and node-hirify.global.
• Collaborate on open source projects and advocate for an exceptional developer experience and best practices.
• Help add support for existing and new hirify.global features to client libraries.
• Act as a technical lead for initiatives beyond the scope of a single programming language.
• Work closely with external contributors, library users, client developers, and other engineering teams.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of hands-on development experience.
• Proficiency in Go, with at least 2 years of experience.
• Proficiency in one or more of Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or PHP, with at least 2 years of combined experience.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with designing software solutions from scratch and familiarity with agile methodologies.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in another programming language (e.g., C, C++, Rust, or Zig).
• Strong understanding of distributed database systems and network technologies.
• Experience maintaining a public open source library.
• Practical experience with database systems.
• Familiarity with Linux.
