Salary: USD $139,900 – $274,800 per year (U.S.); USD $188,000 – $304,200 per year (San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area).

What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Develop and optimize data models to support data analytics.
• Utilize advanced analytics techniques to extract insights from large datasets.
• Implement data validation frameworks and monitoring systems for data quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines for timely and accurate data delivery.
• Coach and mentor peers and emerging team members while advocating for best practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Solid experience in software engineering, with a focus on data engineering and data analytics.
• Solid experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark and Hadoop.
• Expertise in SQL and experience with RDBMS or Key Value stores.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 8+ years technical engineering experience.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and data services, especially Azure.
• Experience with machine learning and data science tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
