Senior Software Engineer, Cloud (Cybersecurity): Developing and maintaining core reliability services for a massively scalable AI-native cybersecurity platform with an accent on distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud infrastructure. Focus on driving architectural changes, ensuring service resiliency, and optimizing performance under extreme data loads.

Location: Remote (USA) or Onsite in Sunnyvale, Austin, or Redmond, USA. This position is open to all U.S. candidates.

Salary: $140,000–$215,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain services to meet high reliability and scalability demands.
• Extend and build new libraries for cross-cutting concerns across hirify.global's cloud platform.
• Re-evaluate product architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and stability.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance for large-scale architectural changes and incident management.
• Lead initiatives for reliability, scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency in distributed systems.
• Design and implement automation tools, and enhance monitoring services.

Requirements

• 7+ years of full-time experience in a service-oriented backend developer role.
• 5+ years developing microservices for a SaaS product in Golang, Java, Scala, Kotlin, Python, or Node.js.
• Expert-level knowledge of Golang.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges, including multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing.
• Ability to scale backend systems through sharding, partitioning, and horizontal scaling.
• Must be able to pass additional background and fingerprint check(s) consistent with government customer requirements.

Nice to have

• Contributions to the open-source community.
• Existing exposure to Kubernetes (K8s), AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch.
• Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields.
