What you will do

• Lead the deployment, management, and optimisation of SAN and NAS storage environments.
• Oversee backup solutions, ensuring reliable, secure, and compliant data protection.
• Drive capacity planning, forecasting, performance tuning, and lifecycle management activities.
• Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery and restoration procedures, including testing and simulations.
• Lead troubleshooting and incident response for storage and backup-related issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor L2 Support Analysts.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of SAN and NAS architectures (e.g., HPE, Dell EMC, NetApp, VMware vSAN, Cisco HyperFlex).
• Strong understanding of fabric management (e.g., Cisco, Brocade) and provisioning (multipath configuration, zoning, masking).
• Expertise in replication technologies, snapshot management, and recovery testing.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise backup platforms (e.g., Rubrik) including application-consistent backups.
• Proven experience in data migration, lifecycle management, and secure decommissioning.
• Capacity planning, cost optimisation, forecasting skills, and ability to mentor junior team members.
