What you will do

• Drive data awareness and provide accurate, actionable data for analytics and decision-making.
• Collaborate with platform and product teams to ensure all relevant data collection.
• Plan and build automated pipelines and processes for ingestion, ETL, and data integrations.
• Develop and maintain data governance, security, and stewardship best practices.
• Optimize and performance tune pipelines and queries for scalability and prepare data for ML.
• Lead, mentor, and develop other data engineers, owning projects with minimal direction.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related work experience required, with a Bachelor's Degree + Advanced Certification.
• Strong SQL knowledge, with the capability to write complex SQL and performance tune queries.
• Skilled in Python, Go, Java, scripting, or other general-purpose programming languages.
• Proficient with data orchestration tools such as Airflow, Pub/Sub, and FiveTran.
• Proficient in Database Management Systems like Postgres, BigQuery, or SQL Server.
• Experienced in API and streaming data integration, and data warehousing models and design fundamentals.
• Experienced with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud data solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with JIRA, Gitlab, Amplitude, Backstage, Notion.
