Salary: Gross monthly salary between EUR 5,876 and EUR 8,395 for a 40-hour work week.

What you will do

• Own the technical quality of solutions and contribute to building, improving, and operating GenAI-powered, RAG-based systems.
• Act as SPOC for IT risk & security, ensuring compliance in design, and drive architectural discussions for complex solutions.
• Work closely with Product Owner and Business Analyst to refine requirements, estimate complexity, and facilitate realistic planning.
• Mentor and coach engineers in the team, fostering a culture of craftsmanship and providing input for performance management.
• Design and implement RAG pipelines and GenAI-powered backend services, and develop robust reusable components for AI-assisted workflows.
• Lead engineering sessions, improve estimation quality, and translate business needs into technical plans.

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid working in Utrecht, Netherlands.
• English: B2 required.
• 5+ years in technical roles (DevOps, Software Engineering, ML Engineering, or Data Engineering).
• Proven experience deploying AI workloads (preferably Generative AI or agentic systems) in production environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP), DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep).
• Strong hands-on experience with Python for automation, API development, and AI model integration.
• Understanding of vector databases and RAG patterns for retrieval-augmented generation.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, AKS/Kubernetes), and knowledge of API gateways and service mesh technologies.
