What you will do
- Design and implement sound effects across all aspects of the game.
- Collaborate with designers, programmers, and artists to align audio with the game’s overall vision.
- Take ownership of specific areas of audio development, systems, or features.
- Contribute to sound design documentation, style guides, and audio best practices.
- Apply a player-focused approach to sound design, considering messaging, emotion, and aesthetic.
- Review and iterate on your own work both at the design stage and in-game.
- Own and deliver critical audio tasks and systems within a project.
Requirements
- High-level skill in creating unique and high-quality sound effects.
- Strong ability to communicate audio concepts to non-audio team members.
- Proficiency with audio middleware and implementation pipelines.
- Proficient with DAWs (Reaper strongly preferred).
- Broad knowledge of audio plugins (e.g., FabFilter, SoundToys, iZotope RX).
- Experience shipping at least one video game title from concept to completion.
- Solid understanding of recording techniques, both field and studio.
