TL;DR

UX Designer (GameDev): Designing intuitive screen flows, wireframes, and in-game elements for mobile games with an accent on player experience and information conveyance. Focus on collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality user experience.

Location: Onsite in Adelaide CBD, Australia. Open only to Australia/New Zealand Permanent Residents.

What you will do

• Design screen flows and wireframes for intuitive interaction in games.
• Assist in gameplay design to ensure an intuitive, fun, and polished experience.
• Specify in-game elements like particle effects to convey information and emotion.
• Identify crucial information players need to access at any given time.
• Collaborate with programmers, artists, and product leads to ensure a consistent, high-quality user experience.

Requirements

• Ability to understand products from a user’s point of view and empathise with players.
• Familiarity with the mobile games ecosystem and monetisation best practices.
• Excellent control of Photoshop, Illustrator, and other industry-standard UI/UX tools.
• Very strong interpersonal and team skills for effective collaboration.
• Ability to manage and prioritise work across multiple projects.
• Must be an Australia/New Zealand Permanent Resident.

Nice to have

• Prior experience designing for mobile games.
• Skills in Unity, particularly in UI and particle effects, to assist in bringing designs to life.
