TL;DR

Backend Application Developer (AI): Building and optimizing high-load backend services for an AI-powered ELT application with an accent on REST API development, AWS services, and performance. Focus on implementing new features, improving platform scalability, and automating deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.

Location: Remote (Mexico Only). This role requires employees to work within Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours.

What you will do

  • Build new features for the REST API using Node.js written in Typescript and deployed to AWS.
  • Work alongside senior developers, product management, designers, and QA team to implement new features.
  • Develop features using AWS tools such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and Redshift.
  • Contribute to improving the performance and scalability of the platform.
  • Automate deployments and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and Serverless Framework.

Requirements

  • Experience in at least one backend language (Python, Typescript).
  • Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, Redshift).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for clean, maintainable code.
  • English communication skills: B2 level or higher is required.

Hiring process

  • First 30 days: Get to know the team, set up your development environment, fix minor bugs, and participate in pull request reviews.
  • First 60 days: Take ownership of a small feature, assist in developing more complex features, and collaborate on feature deployment planning.
  • First 90 days: Take full ownership for feature development to production, troubleshoot defects without much assistance, and actively contribute to team discussions on architecture.
