Backend Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Backend Engineer (Fintech): Enhancing and building core platform with an accent on upgrading internal libraries and frameworks. Focus on contributing to event store platform and open source internal libraries.

Location: Remote (Ireland, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Spain)

Salary: PLN36,000 - PLN40,000 gross monthly (Krakow, Poland), €7,200 - €8,000 gross monthly (Vilnius, Lithuania), Compensation will be discussed during the interview process (Other locations)

What you will do

• Enhancing and building our core platform.
• Improving the developer experience by upgrading internal libraries and frameworks.
• Contributing to our event store platform.
• Contributing to open source internal libraries.

Requirements

• Fluency with Java.
• 6+ years of experience in backend development.
• Experience with distributed systems, CI/CD.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, maths, physics, or similar field.
• To be a quick learner with an ambitious attitude and results-driven personality.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Kotlin or Scala.
• A background in finance.
• Experience in a startup or scale-up.
• Hands-on experience in a product-focused environment.
