What you will do

• Define and scope new features, identify project requirements, and create clear roadmaps and timelines.
• Take initiative to enhance frameworks, optimize processes, and develop new features.
• Guide and mentor a team of developers, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure project milestones are met.
• Help new team members get up to speed with tools, frameworks, and best practices.
• Foster open communication within the team, addressing challenges, setbacks, and achievements transparently.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in working with Scala or other JVM languages, SQL and databases.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in team management.
• Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Must be living in Austria, or be available for occasional office travels.

Nice to have

• Experience in working in a cloud-based environment.
• Experience with Data Science (Models, NLP, LLMs, …).
• Experience with durable workflow engines or workflow orchestration tools.
