TL;DR

Game Release Manager (Gamedev): Owning the entire release lifecycle of game titles across multiple platforms, from build finalization to first-party submission and age ratings. Focus on standardizing release workflows, coordinating with various teams and platform partners, and ensuring compliance and timely delivery of high-quality games.

Location: In-person/in-office only; remote positions are not available.

What you will do

  • Facilitate go/no-go decisions for first-party submissions and releases.
  • Own the end-to-end release process for all game titles and platforms, including age ratings.
  • Develop and document standardized release workflows, procedures, and metrics.
  • Coordinate with Production, QA, Marketing, Engineering, and platform partners for all submissions and external certifications.
  • Manage and track all certification requirements and deadlines for first-party compliance.
  • Communicate release status and risks to all stakeholders, including leadership.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in Release Management, specifically centered around shipping games.
  • Experience with at least two multi-platform games taken through the full development cycle as a Release Manager.
  • Experience shipping titles for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, PC (Mobile Platforms and Mac a plus).
  • Experience with submitting titles to first parties on game build and storefronts.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the game development cycle and release workflows.
  • Intimate knowledge of features, compliance, and certification testing practices for major first-party platforms.
