What you will do

• Architect and deliver high-performance Android solutions for search, results, maps, and recommendations.
• Lead technical direction for multi-service, cross-domain initiatives and define architectural standards.
• Design robust APIs and data models to support seamless internal and external service integration.
• Integrate AI/ML-enabled features to enhance mobile user experience and drive business growth.
• Mentor mobile engineers across teams to foster technical excellence and code quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in product and design to drive the mobile technical roadmap.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in London, UK
• 12+ years of relevant professional experience in software engineering.
• Proven expertise in architecting complex Android applications at scale, including system and API design.
• Strong leadership skills with experience guiding architecture for cross-domain mobile initiatives.
• Familiarity with applying AI/ML concepts and tools to real-world consumer products.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Deep understanding of architecture patterns like MVVM, MVI, or MVP.
• Prior experience in the travel industry or search and discovery domains.
