What you will do

• Lead firmware QA in new hardware projects, planning and executing complete test plans from prototype to final product.
• Perform detailed manual and automated testing of firmware features, focusing on stability, performance, security, and hardware interaction.
• Collaborate directly with developers to integrate testing early and often, driving "Shift-Left" within your scrum team.
• Actively contribute to the long-term quality strategy by improving test methods and expanding automation frameworks (e.g., Python).
• Ensure reliability and usability of products from a customer perspective.

Requirements

• Proven experience: 3-5 years in software testing within a scrum team, with a strong preference for experience in embedded systems, firmware, or IoT products.
• Comfortable planning and leading test activities for a project, coordinating with other testers and developers.
• Experience with both manual and automated software testing.
• Ability to read datasheets, connect a logic analyzer, or write a script to solve a problem.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical issues and quality insights to stakeholders.
• A customer-centric view, considering end-user experience of product reliability and usability.

Nice to have

• Scripting/programming for test automation (e.g., Python, C).
• Experience with performance, stress, and long-term stability testing.
• Basic hardware debugging tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes).
• Leveraging AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) for test ideas, coding, or analysis.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and environments (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
