Python Tech Lead (Backend)

What you will do

• Lead technical design for complex features and data-driven backend components, ensuring architectural consistency and evolution.
• Identify system bottlenecks and propose long-term structural improvements for the platform.
• Drive the full lifecycle of feature delivery from discovery to release, overseeing task breakdown, estimation, and planning.
• Enforce development best practices including clean architecture, test coverage, documentation, CI/CD, and observability.
• Cooperate closely with product owners, data engineers, data scientists, QA, and other development teams.
• Provide technical mentorship and ensure operational support by resolving issues within agreed SLAs.

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial software development experience.
• 5+ years of Python backend development experience.
• Strong experience with FastAPI, asyncio, SQLAlchemy, Pandas, Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ, and gRPC.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing distributed high-load backend systems.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes, alongside strong understanding of OOP and OOD.
• Experience with architecture design, API/interface definition, and observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing).
• Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills, with practical experience in Agile/Scrum.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps workflows.
• Experience with big data processing tools such as PySpark.
• Background or understanding in data science concepts including Random Forest, Gradient-Boosted Decision Trees, and Linear regression models.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Helm.
