Senior Legal Counsel (Software)

TL;DR

Senior Legal Counsel (Software): Providing first-level legal support for the UKI region, focusing on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements for various business lines. Focus on ensuring compliance with company policies and law while supporting sales and other departments.

Location: Based in the UK (Hybrid/Remote). Some travel within Europe may be required.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements (e.g., Software Licensing, SaaS, Managed Services, Hardware sale/leasing).
• Provide general commercial legal support to the Sales team.
• Conduct legal monitoring and internal trainings for commercial and operational teams.
• Contribute to implementing and developing company policies and procedures in the sales space at a regional level.
• Advise internal clients on a broad array of issues and risks to ensure compliance with company policies and the law.
• Provide legal support to HR, Finance, or other departments.

Requirements

• UK qualified with demonstrable experience in contract law.
• Good knowledge of Intellectual property law.
• A good understanding of Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) compliance or litigation experience.
• Extensive experience with internationally operating IT company as an in-house counsel.
• Excellent drafting and negotiating skills.
• Fluent in writing and speaking English.
