TL;DR

Application Support Engineer (Fintech): Ensuring the stability, availability, security, and performance of business-critical applications within a global trading environment with an accent on incident resolution, root cause analysis, and application deployments. Focus on proactive monitoring, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with development and infrastructure teams.

Location: Must have appropriate rights and documentation for employment in Philippines.

What you will do

  • Provide Level 1 application support for business-critical internal and external systems across the hirify.global platform.
  • Act as first point of contact for incidents, service requests, and support enquiries, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
  • Monitor application health using system logs, alerts, observability tools, and FIX sessions.
  • Investigate and perform root cause analysis for production and trade-related incidents.
  • Support application deployments, releases, and configuration changes, validating supportability and operability.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and third-party vendors to resolve issues and improve system stability.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in an Application Support or Production Support role supporting business critical systems.
  • Strong experience in incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Proficient in system and application monitoring tools such as Zabbix and Datadog.
  • Solid understanding of supporting and maintaining applications in high-availability, production environments.
  • Experience supporting systems hosted in cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, MS SQL Server, messaging technologies, Akamai, and Cloudflare.

Nice to have

  • Previous coding or troubleshooting experience, particularly with .NET, containers, Kubernetes, and service bus technologies.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management practices; ITIL knowledge.
  • Exposure to DevOps and Agile ways of working.
