TL;DR
Systems Engineer (SRE) (Kubernetes/Linux): Maintaining and automating a large geo-distributed production environment, growing data-system clusters, Kubernetes infrastructure, and CI/CD delivery systems with an accent on low-latency architectures, observability, and reliable operations. Focus on processing thousands of events per second, automating systems engineering, and ensuring zero-downtime production services.
Location: Riga, Latvia; hybrid work
Salary: €4,750–€7,670 gross per month

What you will do
- Maintain and scale a large, geo-distributed production environment.
- Operate growing clusters based primarily on non-relational data systems.
- Run Kubernetes across on-premises infrastructure and public cloud environments.
- Support CI/CD systems that enable continuous delivery for development teams.
- Automate and code systems while applying software engineering best practices to infrastructure operations.
- Work with low-latency architectures processing thousands of events per second with zero tolerance for downtime.
Requirements
- Solid experience with Linux and strong operational skills.
- Knowledge of or interest in Kubernetes.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies.
- Good programming and scripting skills.
- Understanding of networking technologies.
- Experience working in a modern software development organization.
