TL;DR

Site Reliability Engineer: Ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability of production systems with an accent on building resilient services, reducing toil through automation, and collaborating with customer-facing teams. Focus on troubleshooting issues, driving solutions, and continuous improvement of systems.

Location: Remote from Canada and the US. Up to 5% travel is required within North America.

Salary: $60,000–$100,000 USD

What you will do

  • Monitor, maintain, and improve the reliability, availability, and performance of production systems.
  • Collaborate with Customer Support and engage directly with customers to troubleshoot issues and drive solutions.
  • Bring customer feedback and recurring patterns back to engineering teams to drive long-term improvements.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code environments (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, ensuring early, often, and transparent communication.
  • Develop automation that reduces manual work and accelerates issue resolution.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a related engineering/operations role.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and Ansible.
  • Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and distributed system fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Bash, Go, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
  • Extensive experience with OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, incident management skills, and strong communication abilities, especially customer-facing.
