What you will do
- Lead strategic architecture and governance of hirify.global’s Design System including token strategy and component logic.
- Refine and evolve the visual language ensuring clarity, performance, and high craftsmanship.
- Ensure cross-platform parity across Web, iOS, and Android with native-feeling experiences.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to align on API structures and token implementation.
- Maintain detailed documentation and usage guidelines to reduce friction for product teams.
- Champion accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA+) and mentor designers on systems thinking.
Requirements
- Must be located in Canada and able to work remotely within the country.
- 8+ years of product design experience with significant focus on Design Systems at scale.
- Advanced expertise in Figma including auto-layout, component properties, and library management.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript frameworks (React, React Native).
- Deep knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
- Ability to self-direct, prioritize, and communicate effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with documentation platforms like Storybook, Zeroheight, or Supernova.
- Background in fintech, consumer finance, or regulated industries.
- Experience with motion design and animation choreography tools (Lottie, Rive).
- Skills in writing automation scripts or plugins for Figma.
