Salary: $125,000 - $155,000 yearly

What you will do

• Build new tools to facilitate studio-specific workflows and improve pipeline efficiency.
• Respond to feedback from artists to improve internal toolsets.
• Work with artists to determine problem areas in the pipeline and build solutions.
• Improve and maintain existing internal toolsets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in software development with Python and/or C++.
• Experience with Houdini and other industry-standard DCC (digital content creation) tools.
• Knowledge of computer graphics concepts, algorithms, and object-oriented software design.
• Experience with UI development using Qt or an equivalent UI toolset.
• Ability to work closely with end users and engineers, demonstrating attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Professional experience in a VFX or animation studio.
• Experience with USD, Hydra delegates, and its usage in feature production pipelines.
• Experience with GPU accelerated graphics and compute methods.
• Experience with collaborative software development and source control (such as Git).
