What you will do
- Build and grow the Server Engineering team, including hiring, onboarding, mentorship, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Lead and inspire the team, providing coaching, feedback, performance reviews, and tailored growth planning.
- Take ownership of decisions, translate company goals into team priorities, and serve as a link between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in technical planning, reporting processes, and project management, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to standards.
- Drive the assessment and implementation of new technologies and tools, continuously identifying and addressing technical debt.
- Support and take responsibility for incident management, analysis, and prevention within the area of responsibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working with Linux infrastructure, including 2+ years in a leadership or mentorship role.
- Expertise in RHEL / Debian and a strong Infrastructure-as-Code approach.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible playbooking, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working with monitoring, logging, and performance tools, including HA proxy setups.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Nice to have
- Experience with containerisation/Kubernetes.
- Experience with public CDN (e.g., CloudFlare).
