Salary: USD $119,800 – $258,000 per year

hirify.global (MAI) is a newly formed organization dedicated to advancing Copilot and other consumer AI products and research, responsible for Copilot, Bing, Edge, and generative AI.

What you will do

• Build tools for data security, privacy, and governance products in distributed data and cloud platform environments.
• Collaborate with other Platform, infrastructure, application engineers as well as AI Researchers to build next-generation automated data governance systems.
• Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code.
• Find a path to get things done despite roadblocks to deliver work quickly and iteratively.
• Work in a fast-paced, design-driven, product development cycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• 4+ years experience building scalable services on public cloud infrastructure like Azure, AWS, or GCP and extensive use of datastores like RDBMS, key-value stores.
• 3+ years experience in collaborating with engineering, product, legal, and compliance teams to embed privacy-by-design principles and build automated scalable governance mechanisms into data infrastructure.
• 3+ years experience in building data lineage tracking, proactive alerting mechanisms, monitoring, and enforcing compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
• Must be based in the U.S. and local to New York, Seattle, or San Francisco areas for in-office work 3-4 days a week.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience, OR Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years technical engineering experience.
