Location: This is a hybrid role with a flexible work schedule, offering 3 days in our Amersfoort office and 2 days from the comfort of your home. Applicants must possess the legal right to work in the Netherlands.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for core order management and restaurant integration functionalities.
• Implement and maintain robust testing strategies, including unit and integration tests, to guarantee quality and stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including API and front-end engineers, ensuring smooth communication.
• Bring new ideas to improve architecture, coding practices, and processes.
• Adhere to secure coding practices to safeguard sensitive data.
• Assist with the deployment and monitoring of our services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer, preferably in a SaaS environment.
• Experience with a primary backend programming language (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java) and with designing and developing APIs and web services.
• Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases for data storage and retrieval.
• Proficiency with Git for version control and collaboration.
• Solid understanding of software design principles (e.g., SOLID principles) and experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Fluency in English is required, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess the legal right to work in the Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
