TL;DR

Senior Python Engineer (Backend): Developing and maintaining a high-scale platform for employment and income verification with an accent on API design, platform scalability, and product delivery. Focus on building performant, reliable, and secure backend services, collaborating with stakeholders to define features, and resolving production issues.

Location: Hybrid, expected to work from office 3 days a week in a hirify.global hub location (Denver, CO, San Francisco, CA, Nashville, TN, or Santiago, Chile). Relocation stipend may be available for these locations.

Salary: $185,000–$218,000 USD (San Francisco, CA)

What you will do

  • Solve problems and deliver high-quality solutions with high ownership.
  • Bring a customer-centric, product-oriented mindset, collaborating with stakeholders to ship features.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and design to architect new features.
  • Experiment with new products, validate customer needs, and ship MVPs.
  • Deliver performant, reliable, scalable, and secure code.
  • Monitor, investigate, triage, and resolve production issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Python and Javascript.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership from feature design through production release.
  • Eagerness to learn, collaborate, improve, innovate, and have fun.
