What you will do

• Advance the platform’s translation capabilities by leveraging expertise in machine learning and applied research.
• Develop and improve benchmarks for translation problems, including NER, word alignment, and automatic translation quality scoring.
• Set up infrastructure for self-hosted solutions to power critical features for a growing client base.
• Translate product features into measurable user use cases and build benchmarks for evaluation engineering.
• Own end-to-end dataset pipelines, including multi-source ingestion, cleaning, validation, and scalable multilingual datasets.
• Operate external LLM providers, designing prompts, automated filters/validators, and routing across providers based on quality, latency, and cost.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in machine learning, applied research, fine-tuning, benchmarking, and inference optimization.
• Strong background in evaluation engineering, including defining online metrics, running A/B tests, and validating production impact.
• Proficiency in data fluency, owning end-to-end dataset pipelines with versioning and auditability.
• Solid classical NLP foundations, understanding MT/search text normalization and core matching approaches.
• Experience with LLM operations, including prompt design for structured generation/evaluation and synthetic data generation.
• Practical production engineering skills to write and ship lightweight services/jobs with structured logs, monitoring, and reliability considerations.
• English: B2+ level required for effective global team collaboration.
