What you will do

• Deliver data projects and participate in the entire project life cycle using Agile best practices and ensuring good quality engineering.
• Work with other technical teams to build data ingestion pipelines and a shared company-wide Data platform in GCP.
• Support and evolve a wide range of services in the cloud.
• Own the development and support of applications, including occasional early morning meetings for collaboration with APAC stakeholders.

Requirements

• Good understanding of IT development life cycle with a focus on quality and continuous delivery and integration.
• Proven experience working in Agile environments.
• Experience in data-related projects from data ingestion to analytics and reporting.
• Good understanding of Big Data and distributed compute frameworks such as Spark for both batch and streaming workloads.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and DBT.
• Familiar with Kafka and different data formats (AVRO/Parquet/ORC/Json).
• Must work on a hybrid model with 3 days in the office in Krakow, Poland.
• Occasional early morning meetings (around 6/6:30 AM) for collaboration with APAC stakeholders required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cloud (preferred GCP).
• Familiarity with GitLab.
• Experience with Containerisation (Nomad or Kubernetes).
