AWS FinOps/CloudOps Engineer (AWS FinOps): Monitoring, optimizing, and improving the financial efficiency of AWS cloud environments while supporting critical CloudOps workflows with an accent on cloud cost management, data-driven analysis, and hands-on AWS operations. Focus on identifying cost-saving opportunities, ensuring accurate cost allocation, and automating operational tasks for sustainable, scalable cloud usage.

Location: Hybrid in Plovdiv, Bulgaria

What you will do

  • Monitor and analyze cloud spend across multiple AWS accounts, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Deliver cost dashboards, reports, alerts, and forecasts, supporting monthly spend reviews.
  • Ensure accurate cost allocation through tagging standards and account structure governance.
  • Support day-to-day AWS operations across EC2, RDS, EKS, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.
  • Participate in incident troubleshooting where cost, performance, or availability is impacted.
  • Build automation for cost reporting, usage tracking, and operational tasks using scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in FinOps, CloudOps, DevOps, or SRE roles with hands-on AWS operations.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, RDS, IAM, S3, and CloudWatch.
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Grafana, Splunk, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AWS cost management tools (Cost Explorer, Budgets, Cost & Usage Reports); FinOps platforms are a plus.
  • Exposure to multi-account AWS governance and regulated environments (SOC 2, ISO 27001) is desirable.
