Location: Hybrid work in Gdańsk, Poland (2-3 days a week in the office)

Salary: 32,000 PLN gross per month

What you will do

• Design and implement backend APIs and services for data processing and ML-driven systems.
• Develop cloud-native microservices using modern DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Build and operate event-driven and streaming architectures for data-intensive workloads.
• Optimize data pipelines, model-serving, and inference systems, including GPU-based workloads.
• Ensure high standards for reliability, scalability, observability, and cost efficiency.
• Participate in the full service lifecycle: architecture, development, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience developing and running production backend systems.
• Strong background in Python and experience building API-based services.
• Practical knowledge of message queues or streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka).
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally AWS (compute, networking, storage, monitoring).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, logging, and observability.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, data, and product teams.
• English level: B2 required.

Nice to have

• Interest in or exposure to Machine Learning, Generative AI, or agent-based systems.
• Background in high-volume or data-heavy backend architectures.
• Experience with additional programming languages such as Go or .NET.
