Technical Level Designer (GameDev)

What you will do

• Create, implement, and maintain design elements, specialized gameplay moments, and tools for the level design team.
• Collaborate with feature teams, managers, and directors to achieve project objectives and ambitions.
• Provide creative problem-solving, troubleshooting, debugging, and mentorship to level design team members.
• Work with technical design leads and production teams on task costing and workflow standards.
• Assist in bugfixing and describing case studies in the knowledge base.
• Identify and communicate cross-discipline challenges and risks to the project.

Requirements

• Typically 3+ years of experience in a Technical Level Designer or similar role.
• At least 1 successfully shipped AAA game on PC or console.
• Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with text-based or visual scripting systems.
• Proficiency with Atlassian software (JIRA, Confluence).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with multiple 3D engines or interest in the design of tools and workflows.
• Scripting experience with Python or Lua.
• Knowledge of Maya, 3DS Max, or similar 3D package (strong preference for Maya).
