Location: This role is based in Alkmaar, Netherlands. Candidates must currently reside in the Netherlands and be willing to participate in a shared on-call rotation outside office hours.

What you will do

• Manage and maintain Linux servers across multiple data centers and cloud environments.
• Support the infrastructure that enables live and video-on-demand services.
• Work closely with senior streaming specialists to learn media workflows and best practices.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across servers, networking, and delivery pipelines.
• Implement and optimize software deployments using modern tooling such as Docker.
• Collaborate with clients, partners, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery.

Requirements

• Strong Linux systems experience and confidence working in production environments.
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across infrastructure and services.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals such as HTTP, TCP/IP, and related protocols.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Interest in media and streaming technologies including HLS, MPEG-DASH, DRM, and codecs.
• Fluency in English.
• Willingness to participate in a shared on-call rotation.

Nice to have

• A DevOps mindset with an interest in automation, scripting, and operational efficiency.
• Experience with cloud platforms and/or on-premise infrastructure.
• CDN knowledge is a bonus, and Akamai experience is a plus.
