What you will do

• Conduct statistical analyses of credit performance and portfolio behaviour, delivering actionable insights.
• Translate credit business hypotheses and problems into analytical requirements and execute analysis/testing plans.
• Analyse performance of the credit decisioning framework and identify opportunities to optimise components.
• Support the design and evaluation of pricing experiments, analysing data for customer elasticity and impact forecasting.
• Develop metrics and dashboards to track credit performance and support ongoing decision making.
• Partner within Credit, Product, and Finance to ensure analytical insights inform changes.

Requirements

• Experience in a data analysis role in credit risk, ideally in SME lending for a fintech / scale-up.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience working with real-world datasets.
• Degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
• Solid statistical understanding, including hypothesis testing, distributions, and regression-based analysis.
• Ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Commercially minded, curious, and comfortable working with ambiguity.
