TL;DR
Senior Physical Design Engineer (ASIC): Contributing to the design and optimization of SerDes connectivity ASICs for highly integrated data center products with an accent on physical design, physical aware synthesis, and place and route. Focus on developing power-grid and high-speed clock constraints, debugging LVS/DRC issues, and applying static timing analysis methodologies.
Location: Onsite in San Jose, California, USA
Salary: $120,000 - $192,000

What you will do
- Contribute to SerDes connectivity ASICs for highly integrated data center products.
- Develop and implement Power-grid and high-speed clock constraints and specifications.
- Perform physical design verification to debug LVS/DRC issues at chip and block levels.
- Work with CDC, static timing analysis methodologies, and SDF annotated simulations.
- Understand design tape-out processes to foundries and the IC Product development supply chain.
- Automate design flows using Perl, Python, TCL, and shell scripting.
Requirements
- MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 6+ years of experience in Physical design.
- Deep knowledge of industry standards in Physical Design, Physical aware synthesis, Floorplanning, CTS, and place and route.
- Understanding and experience of mixed signal environments is a must.
- Familiarity with Virtuoso, Caliber, and Redhawk tools.
- Experience with CDC, static timing analysis methodologies, and relevant tools.
- Good understanding of physical design verification methodology.

- Understanding of backend Cadence tools.
- Deep understanding of Signal Integrity and Power Integrity for High Speed designs.
