AI Security Specialist (AI): Supporting the refinement and embedding of our AI Security strategy, with an accent on assessing, designing, and configuring controls for securing AI systems and applications. Focus on integrating security standards throughout the AI lifecycle, conducting risk assessments, and using AI for threat detection and incident response.

Location: Hybrid working, 40% (or two days) in an office site in Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol or London.

Salary: £72,702 - £80,780 outside of London, London £84,051 - £93,390

What you will do

• Assess, design, and configure controls for securing AI systems and applications against evolving threats.
• Design, build, and deploy AI to enhance security measures, including threat detection, incident response, and anomaly detection.
• Collaborate with AI development teams to integrate security standards throughout the AI lifecycle.
• Assess AI security within the group, establish continuous assessment, and commission adversarial testing.
• Conduct AI risk assessments, threat modelling, and document mitigation plans.
• Advise on and ensure continued compliance with industry standards and regulations related to AI security.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related area.
• Substantial practical experience securing AI systems and/or public cloud applications.
• Solid understanding of cyber security principles and controls (e.g., identity & access management, encryption, network security).
• Hands-on experience in public cloud security engineering and/or configuration/operation of security tooling (e.g., WAFs).
• Solid knowledge of AI technologies, including machine learning concepts, model architectures, and generative AI capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting risk assessments, threat modelling, and security audits.
