Engineering Manager (SRE)

TL;DR

Engineering Manager, Infrastructure/SRE (DevOps): Leading a team of Site Reliability Engineers responsible for improving and scaling the infrastructure powering hirify.global with an accent on Infrastructure as Code and automation. Focus on maintaining a hybrid cloud infrastructure in AWS using technologies such as Terraform, K8s, Istio or Ansible.

Location: Must be physically located within Europe. Comfortable working in a fully remote environment.

What you will do

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of Site Reliability Engineers.
• Design, document, and lead the implementation of reliable and secure infrastructure solutions.
• Oversee technical analysis, cost estimation and optimization, platform and system design, and resource planning.
• Engage in hands-on technical work alongside the team to maintain deep understanding of the infrastructure.
• Define team goals and strategy, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Champion engineering best practices and drive continuous improvement in production environment quality and reliability.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure and related services.
• Strong technical background in AWS, IaC (Terraform), Kubernetes, and monitoring/observability tooling.
• Proven leadership or management experience with strong interpersonal and people management skills.
• Experience setting strategic vision and owning complex technical initiatives.
• A disciplined approach to maintaining and enforcing engineering best practices.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
