Senior Cloud Engineer (K8s & Kafka): Architecting the backbone of container orchestration and real-time data streaming, focusing on hardening Kubernetes clusters and Kafka infrastructure. Focus on abstracting the complexity of the underlying infrastructure, providing a seamless "paved road" for developers to deploy and scale their applications with confidence.

Location: Hybrid work (3 days per week in the office) in Montpellier

What you will do

  • Architect the backbone of container orchestration and real-time data streaming.
  • Harden Kubernetes clusters and Kafka infrastructure.
  • Abstract away the complexity of the underlying infrastructure.
  • Provide a seamless “paved road” for developers to deploy and scale their applications.
  • Optimize for low latency, high throughput, and rock-solid resilience.

Requirements

  • BS in Software Engineering (or extensive experience equivalent to).
  • Good programming abilities.
  • Extensive experience building and running workloads in public clouds (AWS, Azure, or both).
  • Strong working knowledge of and experience in IaC technologies, like Terraform.
  • Strong commitment to quality designs, automation, and documentation.

Nice to have

  • Past experience in building, industrializing and running large highly available, high scale and high traffic infrastructure in multiple regions.
  • Past experience in advertising technology or e-commerce.
