TL;DR

Location: Must possess the legal right to work in Spain and work onsite in Madrid (Alvento Business Park).

What you will do

  • Collaborate with testers, translators, and developers to identify and report linguistic bugs.
  • Ensure linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and cultural appropriateness in games.
  • Apply hirify.global LQA methods for detailed game testing.
  • Utilize professional bug databases to document issues, track progress, and verify fixes.
  • Grow expertise in LQA, managing projects and mastering the full testing cycle.
  • Develop and refine test cases, document findings, and establish LQA best practices.
  • Contribute to shaping localization testing processes early in development.
  • Optimize workflows and share knowledge to improve team standards.

Requirements

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to linguistic perfection.
  • Native or near-native proficiency in one language and confident English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Strong passion for video games and their linguistic presentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure team environment.
  • Proactive, curious, and determined approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, testing tools, and MS Office.
  • Must possess the legal right to work in Spain.
  • This is an onsite role in Madrid, not remote.

Nice to have

  • Experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading.
  • Familiarity with translation systems.
  • Previous use of test case management tools or text editing platforms.
  • Understanding of gaming trends and culture.
  • Degree in linguistics or a related field.
