Senior Frontend Engineer (React): Lead the development and evolution of a Shared Design Library, a core set of reusable React components, design tokens, and UX patterns powering SkyCell's applications. Focus on defining library foundations, implementing testing strategies, ensuring consistency across web applications, and mentoring less experienced engineers.

Location: Hybrid with modern workspaces in Zurich, Zug, Basel (Switzerland) and Hyderabad (India). Must be located in, or able to relocate (without sponsorship) to one of these locations.

What you will do

• Lead the implementation of a Shared Design Library using reusable React components and design tokens.
• Define library foundations, including naming conventions, versioning, theming, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Set up and maintain component documentation with usage guidelines and live examples using Storybook and MDX.
• Define and implement a comprehensive testing framework covering unit, visual regression, accessibility, and integration tests.
• Integrate the library into CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and versioned releases.
• Write clean, maintainable, scalable code in TypeScript and React to build responsive, reliable, and secure web applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development with TypeScript, modern JavaScript, and the React ecosystem.
• Experience designing or contributing to a design system or shared component library.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, web security, performance, and accessibility best practices.
• Experience designing or contributing to scalable frontend architectures.
• Proficient with Git, npm/yarn, and modern frontend tooling.
• Strong communication skills, valuing direct feedback and open dialogue.
