What you will do

• Define and evolve the architecture of the Virtual Machine platform, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Design and standardize VM services across Azure, AWS, and on-premises environments.
• Co-develop common guardrails, standards, and integration patterns with other compute and infrastructure architects.
• Guide engineers in implementing architectural decisions and platform capabilities, fostering continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with security, compute, storage, networking, and application teams.
• Drive adoption of automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, and self-service capabilities.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge and experience with Virtual Machines in Public Cloud (Azure, AWS) and on-premises environments.
• Ability to think conceptually, execute practically, and translate the big picture into actionable steps.
• Experience working in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong communication skills (in English) and a natural sense of collaboration.
• Knowledge of security and compliance in regulated environments.
• Experience working in agile product teams.
• Must be located in the Netherlands and have the legal right to work in the Netherlands.
