Senior Animator

hirify.global is an independently owned animation entertainment studio in Vancouver producing feature and episodic CG content for global distributors, broadcasters, and streaming platforms.

What you will do

• Deliver high-quality 3D character animation that meets established production standards and the project’s artistic style.
• Animate complex sequences, technically challenging shots, group animations, and continuity across connected shots.
• Address feedback efficiently and help streamline shot approvals while minimizing revisions.
• Improve scene organization, animation workflows, assets, and overall production efficiency.
• Mentor junior and intermediate animators and collaborate with the Lead Animator, Animation Director, and Animation Supervisor.
• Troubleshoot complex animation challenges and communicate effective technical and artistic solutions.

Requirements

• More than three years of experience in 3D animation using Maya on series or film productions.
• Strong experience as a lead in feature or series CG character animation.
• Experience with and interest in cartoony animation; quadruped animation experience is recommended.
• Ability to film and use reference footage, interpret storyboards and director feedback, and provide direction to a team.
• Ability to work within an established pipeline and learn custom tools.
• Strong teaching, mentoring, teamwork, and communication skills.
