AI Research Engineer (AI/Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid role based in Dublin, Ireland

What you will do

• Work on advanced research and development initiatives.
• Design and implement AI agents using frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or Pydantic AI.
• Develop end-to-end intelligent workflows integrating LLMs with external APIs, databases, and internal tools.
• Build and maintain Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to ground AI responses in our company’s proprietary data using vector databases.
• Create evaluation sets to test the accuracy, latency, and reliability of your agents.

Requirements

• Keep up to date with advancements and developments in the security industry and perform research.
• Good programming skills: Go, Python, LLM Fundamentals, API integration, and automation.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision as well as collaborate with others.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (English).
• B.S. degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of R&D experience and proven ability to independently research and publish findings in the cybersecurity domain space.

Nice to have

• Cybersecurity background.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• AI Security and Red Teaming experience.
• Experience with security standards and frameworks such as NIST 800-53, CIS, HIPAA, PCI and DISA STIGS.
