Lead Devops Engineer

TL;DR

Lead DevOps Engineer: Leading the design, scalability, security, and operational excellence of our cloud platforms, while mentoring engineers and shaping DevOps best practices across teams. Focus on troubleshooting complex production issues and leading root-cause analysis.

Location: Hybrid work model, 2 days working from the office in Raanana, Israel and 3 days of remote work each week.

What you will do

• Lead the design, evolution, and operation of large-scale cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability, security, resilience, and cost efficiency.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategy and quality, ensuring consistency, reusability, and maintainability across environments and development groups.
• Act as a technical authority for troubleshooting complex production issues and leading root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate closely with development, QA, security, and product teams to align infrastructure with business and product needs.
• Mentor and guide DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, learning, and continuous improvement.
• Lead initiatives around observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Deep expertise with AWS services (Azure experience is a strong advantage).
• Strong programming and scripting skills (Python, groovy).
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (CDK / CloudFormation / Terraform).
• Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, containerized workloads, and distributed systems.
