Location: Employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. are expected to work from the office at least four days per week.

Salary: USD $100,600 – $215,400 per year.

What you will do

• Own and execute end‑to-end data analysis for Bing scenarios.
• Apply analytics techniques to tackle complex problems such as fraud/anomaly detection, opportunities and business impact analytics.
• Design and analyze experiments to validate hypotheses and measure impact on products.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders through clear, actionable insights.

Requirements

• Doctorate or Master’s Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) data-science experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 2+ years data-science experience OR equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.

Nice to have

• Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) data-science experience.
• 3+ years leveraging the practical uses of statistics (i.e. experimentation, statistical modeling).
• 3+ years of experience in SQL, R, Python, or related tools for large-scale analysis.
• Ability to clearly explain ideas and communicate complex analysis & insights to a non-technical audience.
• Experience as a data scientist for an online service, app, or Web site with millions of users. Experience working on an online collaboration, video conference, or messaging product.
